​Shane Myers is a nationally recognized career coach with deep roots in the Seattle area. After earning his business degree from Washington State University in 2006, Shane discovered early on that his true passion was helping others succeed. While still in school, he began mentoring high school seniors about life at WSU and went on to serve as the official resume writer for graduating business students—his first experience guiding others toward career clarity and confidence.

Following graduation, Shane launched his professional journey in recruiting. He started as a recruiting coordinator, then spent over five years as a top-billing agency recruiter before joining Amazon, where he quickly rose through the ranks to become a recruiting manager. During his eight years at Amazon, Shane led teams, hired more than 1,000 candidates, negotiated over half a billion dollars in offers, and authored Amazon’s official candidate prep program—used by tens of thousands of applicants and widely praised as the most comprehensive and actionable interview guidance candidates had ever received.

After Amazon, Shane knew he wanted to continue helping people navigate an increasingly competitive job market. Drawing on his experience sitting in the debrief room for thousands of interviews, Shane knew exactly what hiring managers were looking for. He began working with professionals who felt stuck; smart, capable individuals who just needed a clear, structured plan. ​

Shane quickly realized candidates needed more than interview prep. They needed a coach who had seen firsthand, thousands of times, why people succeed or fail in interviews and job searches. They needed help shifting their mindset from asking for jobs to selling their value. They had to become salespeople for their skillsets and themselves. They needed a coach to help them see and define their value, make a structured plan, and tell their career stories confidently and authentically. That’s why InterviewNerds was born.
Since then, Shane has helped hundreds of motivated professionals land jobs they love with the compensation they deserve.​Shane still lives in the Pacific Northwest with his rockstar wife, Amy, and their two amazing daughters. He spends his free time camping, cooking, gardening, fishing for salmon, and flying as a licensed private pilot. He loves what he does—and he’s ready to help you take your next step.
